| Distance: | 12 |
| Notes: | Evanston Bike Club will lead the ride -- all in the cyclists are welcome to join. We will begin at Chandler and ride in silence (other than the usual safety calls such as "car up" etc) for about 10-12 miles or about one hour. This ride will proceed at a slow pace and will loop back toward Evanston or Skokie where we will then open our mouths and discuss the ride over dinner. Think of this as a meaningful entree into our warm weather Thursday night social rides. I would like to have an open forum, like a Quaker meeting, before we ride. We will then ride in silence. It will likely be dark by the time we finish riding and will certainly be dark after dinner. Accordingly, lights are required. More info: dbarish1957@yahoo.com |

The group will follow a pre-determined 8.5 mile route around Peoria and ride *silently* together at no faster than 10 MPH to symbolize our rememberance of those riders who have been killed or injured. The route follows residental side streets, crosses a couple of busy intersections (with police assistance to stop traffic), and does not have any hills.
